Their challenge:

The site is close to a busy road with traffic management complications as well as planning restraints on working hours.

Our solution:

The complication of traffic management and planning restraints on working hours, coupled with a tight client programme, pushed the team towards a strategy which involved less vehicular movements outside the site and more complex engineering on site. The project’s strategy also involved the removal and import of circa 30,000 m3 of material. Scope of works included:

• All earthworks
• Roads and sewers
• Precast piling
• Attenuation
• Construction of 72 plots
• Retaining structures
• Precast attenuation

The results:

This £4.2m project commenced in January 2019 and is ongoing.
