Keepmoat Homes is constructing 164 new homes, including 62 affordable units, at Little Maltby Farm, Ingleby Barwick. The client required full infrastructure and groundworks delivery across a complex, phased site bordered by existing housing. Challenges included a live beck running through the site, a 12-inch water main within proposed plots, and the construction of a deep permanent pumping station — over 9 metres deep — alongside a temporary system for early occupancy.
OUR SOLUTION
Applebridge provided a fully integrated service through its Civils, Utilities, and ZTL divisions. ZTL completed Phase 1 earthworks and ponds, including the installation of baffle block culverts to manage water flow. Applebridge Civils delivered drainage, spine road, and plotworks, coordinating closely with the client to adapt routes around existing utilities. Applebridge Utilities installed both a temporary and permanent pumping station, with the permanent £260,000 structure engineered for long-term reliability.
SCOPE OF WORKS
Applebridge was appointed to complete the following packages of works:
Earthworks (Phase 1 & 2)
Drainage and culvert installation
Road construction and spine road formation

Temporary and permanent pumping stations
THE RESULTS
