This scheme involved Applebridge undertaking the installation of deep drainage, roads and sewers, dual pump station and associated plotworks for 79 dwellings.Their challenge:
To enable the services listed, several challenges needed to be overcome, including a high prevalence of mudstone and high water table adding difficulty to conditions on-site.Our solution:
The Applebridge team encountered several challenges due to the ground conditions on site, such as a high prevalence of mudstone and high water table. Over half of this scheme is piled due to the ground conditions whereby Applebridge has overseen the procurement and installation of the piles, ringbeams etc. with the use of two specialist contractors. In addition to this, the scheme was a trial site for a new attenuation system by F P McCann. Scope of works included:- R&S plotworks and completions
- Construction of deep drainage and highways
- Dual pump station
- Attenuation tank system in addition to plotworks and completions for the entire scheme
