30,000 meals, over 6 weeks, supporting 2,500 families.

‘The Applebridge Family has been exemplary and ensured this was a project that really did deliver’.

Applebridge is proud to announce that our free-school meal project has met it’s final goal, with the help of the MFC Foundation and Quorn.

1,800 working hours spread across 30 days, working 5 days a week.

We would like to say a big thank you to the volunteers and chefs from MFC Foundation, members of Applebridge, their families and the drivers and those working hard in the hubs, across Teesside.

The project helped to bring a community together when times were very uncertain.

Applebridge is proud to step up to the plate and serve their community.

We are so pleased to announce that 3,760 people across Teesside enjoyed hot, cooked meals, in the first week of our free-school meals initiative, in partnership with the MFC Foundation and Middlesbrough FC.

Children, families and communities across the region, were amongst those who benefited from the freshly made meals; prepped and cooked by the talented chefs at MFC’s Riverside Stadium.

Applebridge were inspired by the fantastic work of footballer turned hero Marcus Rashford, who lobbied the government to provide 1.3 million free-school meals for children over the summer holidays.

Community is at the heart of the Applebridge family and by creating a successful partnership with the Middlesbrough Foundation, we can ensure that together families across Teesside feel supported.

‘Applebridge are proud to step up to the plate and serve their community.’

The Applebridge Family are delighted to announce a partnership with the renowned MFC Foundation that will see 30,000 hot meals and free school meals delivered throughout Teesside during the six weeks of school summer term.

The aim is to produce and distribute approximately 1,000 free meals a day, for a 6-week period, to the children of families who need it the most in Teesside. Working in partnership with Middlesbrough FC Foundation, Applebridge Family have donated £40,000.00 to the event with the aim of covering the cost of purchasing food, packaging and transport to ensure a quality daily meal will reach those who require it the most.

We are pleased to announce that we have chosen an amazing new local charity to support for the year- Remembering Rebecca. This is a registered charity in memory of Rebecca Sands who gained her angel wings, aged 21 months, in August 2010. The charity offers financial assistance to children, from birth to 16 years, with Lissencephaly and other neurological conditions.
