This project consists of main drainage, building of the section 38 road and footpaths, and construction of the new S278 entrance.

Their challenge:

Strict traffic controlled areas posed a significant challenge in this project, and with extensive digging, curbing and adjustment to road layouts, the contractor was looking for an experienced construction partner.

Our solution:

This project is a package distribution facility for Amazon. Applebridge is working for Kiernan Construction who in turn is working for the main contractor, ISG. Scope of works included:

• Installation of over 4500lm of mains drainage, ranging from 150mm to 1200mm
• Digging 6000lm of services inclusive of hundreds of metres of road crossing
• Circa 5000lm of kerbing ranging from pin kerbs to road kerbs to Trief Kerbs
• Building the site entrance under strict traffic controlled areas inclusive of re-working the existing traffic controls, installing and diverting services, moving kerb lines and associated drainage and tarmacking to the adjusted road layout

The results:

This £2.73m project commenced in August 2018 and is ongoing.
