Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement

1. Introduction

1.1 This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement relates to actions and activities during the period 1st May 2025 to 30th April 2026.

1.2 This statement sets down Applebridge Group Limited’s commitment to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our business activities and the steps we have put in place with the aim of ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our own business and supply chains. We all have a duty to be alert to risks, however small. Staff are expected to report their concerns and management to act upon them.

2. Organisational Structure and Supply Chains

2.1 This statement covers the business activities of Applebridge Group Limited which are as follows:

Applebridge Group Limited consists of two core specialist divisions: civils and utilities. With offices in North East England and Yorkshire, we offer a regional service, with expert teams of specialists bringing decades of collective industry experience.

The Company currently operates in the following countries:

  • United Kingdom – Our Civils division is the Civil Engineering element of Applebridge. We have a large team of in-house civil engineering professionals, plus numerous operational support team members, who work together to ensure projects are successfully managed and delivered.

The following is the process by which the Company assesses whether activities or countries are high risk in relation to modern slavery or human trafficking:

3. Responsibilities

Responsibility for the Company’s anti-slavery initiatives is as follows:

  • Policies: Group HR Manager is responsible for creating and reviewing policies.
  • Risk Assessments: Group Health & Safety Manager is responsible for risk assessments in respect of human rights and modern slavery.
  • Due Diligence: Group Managing Director is responsible for due diligence in relation to known or suspected instances of modern slavery and human trafficking.

4. Policies

4.1 The Company is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or our supply chains. This Statement affirms its intention to act ethically in our business relationships.

4.2 The following policies set down our approach to the identification of modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in our operations:

  • Whistleblowing Policy – The Company encourages all its workers, customers, and other business partners to report any concerns related to its direct activities or its supply chains.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy – The Company’s CSR policy summarises how we manage our environmental impacts and how we work responsibly with suppliers and local communities.

5. Due Diligence Processes for Slavery and Human Trafficking

5.1 The Company undertakes due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers and regularly reviews its existing suppliers. The Company’s due diligence process includes:

  • Building long-standing relationships with suppliers
  • Making clear our expectations of business partners
  • Evaluating the modern slavery and human trafficking risks of each new supplier
  • Invoking sanctions against suppliers that fail to improve their performance in line with an agreed action plan, including the termination of the business relationship

5.2 This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement will be regularly reviewed and updated, as necessary. The Management Board of Directors endorses this policy statement and is fully committed to its implementation.
